On 25 October, the main WSBHD conference webinar is taking place under this year's theme 'Accelerate Action for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus'.

WSBHD Regional Side Event Southeastern Europe
On 13 October, join us for the WSBHD Regional Meeting in Southeastern Europe, aiming at developing ideas and actions to support individuals living with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus across the region.
IF Members Advocacy Training
On 31 October and 7 November, join our training 'Empowering Advocacy: Voices of Persons with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus', providing participants with a holistic approach to advocacy and Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.

Vereniging voor Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus - BELGIUM
On 19 October 2025, the Vereniging voor Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus vzw organises their annual Autumn Walk to celebrate World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day. This activity brings people with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus together from across Belgium.
Starting in the morning with an accessible wheelchair walk in the city center of Ypres, the day will conclude with a delicious lunch with Belgian fries.
Spina Foundation - POLAND
On 20 September 2025, Spina Foundation, Poland, organised a conference with lectures and workshops, as well as therapeutic, dance, and artistic activities for small and older children.
Association for Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus - GERMANY
From 24 to 26 of October, the German Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus organises a members training for mindful handling of conflict and emotionally challenging situations for people with hydrocephalus.
Under the slogan "Difficult topics made easy", participants will engage in a variety of methods from the fields of mindfulness, communication, and coaching. Short lectures will alternate with small and large group discussions, as well as gentle physical exercises.
Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association - NIGERIA
On 2O October, the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association in Nigeria, is planning a Wheelchair Basketball Novelty Match by youth with SBH.
Madrid Spina Bifida Association - SPAIN
The Madrid Spina Bifida Association (AMEB) is thrilled to announce its First Charity Run for Spina Bifida, a sporting and solidarity event that will take place on 4 October at Madrid Río Park, in the heart of the city.
Under the slogan “Run with your bib, support their spine”, the event aims to raise awareness about this congenital malformation that affects the spinal cord, as well as to raise funds for the maintenance and improvement of AMEB’s services and projects, all designed to enhance the quality of life of its members.
Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association MALAYSIA
The Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association of Malaysia (SIBIAM) is planning a nationwide programme that will be conducted in a hybrid format (physical and online) to ensure wider participation across Malaysia. This includes a webinar entitled 'The Journey to Sel-Acceptance' taking place on 11 October.
Komunitas Spina Bifida - INDONESIA
On 14 October, Komunitas Spina Bifida Indonesia is organising a live YouTube event sharing the exciting journey of supporting a child with Spina Bifida.

During October Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Awareness Month, the Spina Bifida Support Group Foundation in the Philippines is organising a series of events from webinars and group meetings, to a big World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day Culminating Activity at SM City Marikina.
Festus Fajemilo Foundation - NIGERIA
On 18 October 2025, the Festus Fajemilo Foundation in Nigeria is holding its Lagos centre’s last – for 2025 - family support group, reflecting on the WSBHD25 theme ‘Accelerate Action for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus’, and addressing barriers to health, education, and cultural and religious stigmas attached to disability.
Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland - IRELAND
From 20 to 26 October 2025, Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland celebrates a week of events and activities aimed at spreading a powerful message: #WeMatter. Highlights include the opening of the Memorial Garden to remember those within the Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus community who have passed away, a fun and informative Education Day on stoma care and intermittent self-catheterisation, and a variety of other in-person and online gatherings.
